Really Love Your Peaches

Eat a peach! Check out this hearty, healthy (and sweet) recipe your li'l peach will love... (For babies 6 months and up; Yields 36 tablespoons) Ingredients:

¼ cup uncooked short grain brown rice 1 cup water, formula or breast milk 1 bag (16 oz.) thawed frozen peach slices 1 pinch ground cinnamon (optional) ½ pinch ground nutmeg (optional)

Directions: Grind rice in a blender to a fine powder. Place in a small saucepan and stir in water, formula or breast milk. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce to a simmer and cover. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 to 15 minutes until thickened and soft to the tongue. Transfer rice to blender. Add thawed peaches and optional spices. Puree until smooth (thin with water, formula or breast milk if necessary). Divide into ice cube trays, cover with plastic wrap and freeze. When frozen, transfer to a freezer bag for storage.
