Lullaby Renditions of Sublime Giveaway
If you recognized our little cartoon Lou Dog when we asked you to “Guess Who’s Being Rockabye’d Next,” then you probably know our newest release will be Lullaby Renditions of Sublime. Are you stoked or what? Click on the album to see if your favorite songs made the track list.
To celebrate, we’re giving Sublime fans a chance to win a copy by entering this week’s giveaway! But this time, you REALLY have to know your stuff (well, kind of).
So you think you think you know Sublime? Let us know which of these facts are true!
Here we go!
- Lead singer Bradley Nowell dropped out one semester short of earning a degree in finance from the California State University, Long Beach.
- Nowell took advanced-placement calculus his junior year of high school.
- Sublime recorded their debut album 40 oz. To Freedom for free by sneaking into the California State University, Dominguez Hills, after hours.
- Lou Dog was named after Nowell’s grandfather.
- The original name of the band’s record label Skunk Records was Possum Records.
- He died a week after marrying his longtime girlfriend.
- Their self-titled album was originally called “Killin It.”
- Sublime was founded in 1990.
- Bradley Nowell wanted to be a ship builder when he grew up.
- Sublime played their very first show in Ventura, California.
(And congrats to our winners from our previous giveaway, Jessica, Megan H., Kaleigh F., Sam S., and Josh V.)
