I Don’t Want to Be Sedated
Summer is in full swing and we're here to make sure you get out to play in the sun and enjoy the warm nights! This is not the time you want to be sedated ... (Though, Rockabye Baby to the rescue when your babes need some shut-eye!)
As July is National Anti-Boredom month, we've come up with a few activities to ensure that boredom is kept at bay.
Stargazing
Not only is this activity simple, there's nothing that says summer quite like gazing up at the night sky watching shooting stars. Check out our stargazing tips here.
Glow-in-the-Dark Ring Toss
All you need is glow-in-the-dark rings and a bottle, stick or cone you can use as your target. Plus, anything that glows in the dark is awesome in our book.
DIY Backyard Bowling
Set up 10 water bottles in the standard bowling pin alignment (4 in the back row, then 3 in the next, 2 in the following and row 1 at the center) leaving about 20-30 feet in front of them. Grab a medium-sized ball and bowl away!
And since glow in the dark is awesome, as we mentioned above, you can create glow in the dark pins by putting glow sticks in the water bottles for a little twilight bowling. Take that, boredom!
Build a Tent
Make an easy canopy by tying rope between two trees. Hang sheets off of it and you've got yourself a tent! It makes a great area to picnic, read stories and nap. ;)
