Rockabye Marvin Gaye Now Available!
Lullaby Renditions of What’s Going On
Every once in a while we have an opportunity to do something special. Our album-length instrumental rendition of What’s Going On is just that. The themes of injustice and suffering so poignantly expressed by Mr. Gaye are still terribly relevant today. This project is an opportunity for us to shine a light on them in our own way, and to give back by donating all our proceeds from sales and streaming of the album to charities addressing these pervasive and ongoing issues. We’ll be starting these donations with the incredible organization Color of Change.

Rockabye Book Club: bell hooks’ Skin Again
This month, we’re reading Skin Again by world-renowned author, theorist, professor, and activist bell hooks!
Skin Again is a subtle yet powerful lesson about prejudice and it places love, friendship, and understanding at its core. Warm illustrations by Chris Raschka help deliver the book’s beautiful message and inspire conversation and creativity with its deep concept and light touch.
“The skin I’m in is just a covering. It cannot tell my story.”
Interview with Beastie Boys’ Money Mark
Known as “the fourth Beastie Boy,” Money Mark is a legend and innovator. For 80 straight days at the start of the pandemic, Mark Ramos Nishita posted 1-minute videos of songs that he called “Isolation Jams.” Now he’s taking part in NPR Morning Edition’s new Song Project to deliver a touching, light Casio ballad.
Check it out with a wonderful short interview here!
